My dad had the idea of putting LEDs inside the side mirrors so when you have the blinkers turned on the edge of the mirror will blink. He took his car to Wes's shop in Daytona and they installed it for him. They look great. I will post some pictures as soon as I get them.

Awesome mod! This is just the kind of thing I'm after - functional improvements without risk of screwing something up. (For example, I'd never put a supercharger on this motor - too much risk.) But LED tail lights, LEDs in the mirrors, a factory install of HID's - yeah, I'd do those...

So details, man. How'd you get this to work?? What kind of LEDs?? Standard mirror glass, or was something custom made for you?? The power mirror functions still work without any interference????

ive seen variations of these that appear much more OEM than those fugly bubbles. in fact they were way cheaper, i think somewhere around $30. my friend had a pair on his car before he totaled it, ill ask him where he got them from. might wanna check ebay and such, youll probably find some there.

I put them on my Marauder. There is a place here in Detroit that sells them. You can check them out at www.muthco.com

bigslim......if i am correct, these are replacement mirrors and not just attached LEDs? definatly look good on your maurader, but i doubt they make them for the 300C. i also didnt notice a price on their website?
They are indeed replacement glass for the factory mirrors. Thanks for the compliment. I checked there site and as of right now they don't have them. I am sure they will have them in time.

To bad the boneheads at DC did not think to include the Euro fender lane change light or DRLs
I agree with the fender lane change light as I was able to put them on my 300M because the holes were there. I won't say anything about the DRL's as they are standard here.

No freaking kidding!!! There are SOME safety items that are just SOOO cheap and SOOO friggin' OBVIOUS that you'd THINK one of the WORLD'S TOP AUTO MANUFACTURERS in the wealthiest and most powerful nation in the history of man would just AUTOMATICALLY INCLUDE THEM in their FLAGSHIP CAR!!!

Add the to the list above L.E.D. taillights (as in the Cadillac Deville), and the L.E.D. turn indicators in the mirrors (or on the outside edge of the mirror housing).

Thanks, Goose. It was great getting to meet you and your dad. I hope we can get that meet in Orlando soon.
I didn't get to see the mirrors at night but I appreciate your thread.

Ok, here are the pictures. My dad had to re-arange the lights so they could be seen during the day.

The first set up was 4 LEDs on the left side of each mirror and 4 LEDs on the right side of each mirror. This did not work too well so my dad moved the LEDs. He put 4 LEDs on the top right and 4 LEDs on the bottom right of the passenger side mirror. On the driverside mirror he put 4 LEDs on the top left and 4 LEDs on the bottton left. He also added some aluminum tape on the inside of the mirror shell so the light would reflect more. Here are the results.

1st picture is with flash and it kills the effect (Driver Side)
2nd picture is w/o flash. (Driver side)
3rd picture is w/o flash. (Passenger side)
4th w/o flash. Mirror taken out.
5th w/ flash. Mirror taken out, lights off. you can see the bunddles of LEDs on top left and bottom left.

Thats all folks.

It looks the best at night, but it also works during the day. My dad loves it. But what he loves the best is being the only one with them.

Thanks AE for the install of the mirror lights and also for the Navi Plus DVD convertion install.
