All performance improvements aside and talking about just the pure sound of the intake. Does say, a Volant, Mopar, or K&N have the same sound as removing the silencer .?
Just for the hell of it, I popped open the intake box, and did a very short and quick run down the street ( I am well aware of the dangers associated with running without a filter) to see what she would sound like. It sounded amasing just running it that way. So, I was interested in doing the silencer removal, and was curious if it would sound the same as a CAI ..?
Why pay for the CAI if all you are after is the sound.
