Looking in the compartment where there is normally a spare tire I see what looks like a portable compressor and in front of that is an small empty compartment. Am I missing something or is it just for storage? I bought this '12 300SRT8 used.

Doesn't come with a spare. I believe the compressor has leak stop loaded in it to fill the tire and stop/slow the leak till you can get to a tire shop.

That ^^^^ is some good info on options. The SRT8 did not come with a spare. The stock 20" wheel and tire combo won't fit in the spare tire well.

So, you get a can of goo and a compressor instead of a real spare.
