Hello all. I have the 8-speaker Sound Group II option in my 05 300c and I'm fairly sure at least 2 of the speakers are blown. I want to upgrade to the best setup possible using the stock amp so I don't have to do any new wiring. I need some help choosing components. I figure I will skip the center 3.5 dash speaker since it isn't necessary. Also, if there is a thread with speaker installation directions that someone can link me to that would be much appreciated. I look forward to hearing some of your suggestions. Thanks.

Does anyone have the specs on the Sound Group II speakers? It will be easier to find replacements if I know what's being replaced. Thanks in advance.

You can upgrade with any decent coaxials. Ironically, if you can
get your hands on Boston Acoustics, that would be great as there
is no comparison between the Boston stock speakers and Boston's
aftermarket speakers.


Note there is a downside. Most aftermarket speakers are 4ohm impedance
and the stocks amp is optimized for 2ohm impedance. That being said,
if you are replacing ALL speakers you should do fine.

Now, there are some brands that offer 2ohm speakers.
