I delivered my Magnum to GS Motorsports for the install of the supercharger this week. I drove over from Phoenix yesterday (averaged 21 mpg at a steady 80 - 85 on I-10) so I could be at GS Motorsports at 8:30 a.m. today. Scott informed me of the impressive dyno numbers with a stock Magnum with only the S/C at over 400 hp) mine already has the headers and borla exhaust installed, so I'm really stoked. While I was there I got to look at the Charger R/T there for the S/C. Scott pointed out there are some differences in the engine that are obvious, no plug wires all over as with our hemi's and the valve covers are plastic, a few photos are attached:

I'm really not sure, but a general rule of thumb is headers are absolutely necessary on a boosted car. More exhaust gas is created with boost....Typically on a boosted stock mill headers thrown into the mix can 25-50 more HP, but this all depends on a lot though. I can't really speculate too much.

amadillo what are your dyno numbers pre- super chcarger real world numbers and rear wheel because i believe the srt is making 376 rear wheel and 425 real world correct me if im wrong vvv90 not sure but if thats so i wonder what is a fully moodded c is making with headers and exhaust and cold air than to add the super charger would be hopefully around 450 real world and 400 rear wheel and if thats true im saving up my pennies. lol

The dyno on the stock unit 5.7 Magnum with no other mods other than the supercharger was 407 rear wheel, I did not get a pre s/c dyno with the headers etc, but we should know what the number are with mine after the dyno tune (should be this weekend) I hope with the headers and exhaust they will be in the range of 430 - 450 rear wheel, I am staying with 6-7 lbs of boost, still want the drivability. GS will add whatever additional fuel delivery parts they need to make it run as it should.

my car made 303 with headers and stock catback
Is that with the stock Intake?
If so replace it immediately.
See my Dyno results
SAE Max Power 278.1 @ 5100
SAE Max torque 318.2 @between 4000 and 4400(it's not marked on my sheet)

For runs 3&4 I unhooked the intake from the air box and left the hose unfiltered.
ready for this!
SAE Max Power 296.5 @ 5200
SAE Max torque 327.9 @between 4000 and 4400(it's not marked on my sheet)

With the free flowing exhaust you should see a bigger difference. A free flowing intake would get you another 10-15 HP. Maybe a little more. Of course if you force feed it you're in another zip code.

For correction, the 303hp at the wheels was with an Air Raid intake on it. PS. Intake is for sale here in about 2-3 weeks when the car makes it back to GA.

i will not need the intake with a supercharger

You didn't answer the question and apparently you didn't read the hole post.

Well judging from dyno results I've seen I'd say it's about 18-20% drivetrain loss, so with headers using armadillo's theorized number that's about 530BHP or so....The drivetrain loss level tends to flatten out the more HP you get, but I still like using the 15-20% number....It gives better "bragging rights" too :D
