My Chrysler 2012 300c has the sport gauge but there's no button for me to turn it on?
Hi 2012Hemi300C,

Are you referring to Sport mode? This is from the User Guide on page 30:

"Shifting From DRIVE to SPORT/LOW
Vehicles Equipped with SPORT Mode
• To shift from DRIVE to SPORT, pull the shift lever rearward until “S” is displayed in the
EVIC.
• To shift back into DRIVE from SPORT, pull the shift lever rearward until “D” is displayed
in the EVIC.
Vehicles Equipped with LOW Mode
• To shift from DRIVE to LOW, pull the shift lever rearward until “L” is displayed in the
EVIC.
• To shift back into DRIVE from LOW, pull the shift lever rearward until “D” is displayed in
the EVIC."

Let me know if that helps at all, or if you were referring to something else.

Yes I'm referring to sport mode, I don't shit I can pull the lever back once it's in drive, but it does let me push it to the right but that puts the car on auto stick. The "Sport" light doesn't turn on. I don't have the option on the "controls" menu either

Assume you have the 5 speed box with the traditional mechanical shifter rather than the monoblock 8 speed?

If so the manual (see: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/615793/Chrysler-2012-300.html page 59 "Sport • This mode is driver selectable when the vehicle is placed in SPORT mode (press the CONTROLS button and then the SPORT button on the display screen). This mode will set suspension for maximum performance handling and is intended for spirited driving."

i.e. on your touchscreen in the middle at the bottom there is a button "Controls" which includes the heated seats etc - there should be a SPORT function in there. If it's missing then either there's a software issue or your car is not equipped with the SPORT function

DGO beat me to it! Let me know if the options they gave are available for you. If not, your vehicle may not be equipped with Sport Mode.

I have a 2012 chrysler 300 it has the light as well but no way to turn it on I've tried the alfaodb app and enabled all the performance packages and etc. It gives the option to enable sport mode in exchange for my low gear, unfortunately it didnt work I was told to let it sit for 5 minutes and in rare cases a day or two for it kick in. It worked on my buddy's chrysler 300 which is 14 I believe so if you have an android I'd personally give it a shot, plus gives you some extra options

I have 2012 with the v-6 it does have sport mode and it works and is fully loaded the only thing it does not have is the 5.7. I am sure you have heard of pulling the shifter down once you are driving and it will go into Sport ?just thought I would mention it in case for some reason you hadnt tried that

I have a 2012 300c luxury edition also. Click on "controls" and it should be dead center of screen. If you don't see it maybe upload a photo as this feature should be there. Also I just walked out and took a video of me enabling sport mode in my car. Just to show you in case. Hope it helps. Just an fyi I used a Tazer to unlock the SRT features so the middle button on mine also shows Track. On our cars track is same as Sport. It will turn on the Sport light in the dash.

Yeah on mine it’s just an empty space. I’ll check out using a Tazer to enable it then. Thanks!

Also did you need the taser in order to disable traction control completed? I know on am srt if you hold the button it disables it fully and on the 1st gen you hold two buttons. But no luck on mine

The short answer is yes its needed. The long answer is not only does it disable traction control but it disables all safety nannies, including abs. So its cool if you want to do donuts but if you plan to do any serious driving (mountain, track) you will end up boiling the brakes. With the tazer installed hold down traction control for 7-10 seconds. All the safety lights on dash come on letting you know its disabled. Hold again to re-enable. Note this must be done at a stop, you cannot do this while the car is in motion. The perk of leaving the Tazer in for me is the Line Lock feature for burnouts. I dont use it often but it makes me laugh to know such a big sedan has this feature.

The tazer will unlock all the srt features, line lock, lightshow, etc. As well as disabling the traction control. You can disable traction with the Diablo but its not an on the fly process. You would kinda have to reprogram your car each time. Where as the tazer allows it by simply holding a button for a few seconds. Hope this helps.

So should I get the diablo tune after I put on my exhaust and CAI, then just use the tazer after? Would that work?

First WHOAH, that's a cool door light, me want.

That's interesting, I thought sport and track were different. That "Sport" changes how the transmission acts, and "Track" is for cars with the adaptive dampening(SRT8).

On my '14 I have a "Sport" button that only says sport in the same location as you showed in the video. I then used a Tazer to turn on performance pages, I didn't see that you had those? In the first page of the performance pages there's also a "Sport" button now. I'm also hoping in the near future to add the adaptive dampening system from a SRT8 to my car. I'm hoping that by adding the control module and turning it on with AlphaOBD I can get a separate "Track" button.

FWIW I find on mine that disabling the ESP(traction control) entirely via the Tazer is near useless.
