I am impressed with the design of the SRT-8 Kicker custom subwoofer that is positioned to the left side of the trunk. Since my 300C is a multipurpose family car, there are times that I need most of the trunk space as well as the rear seatbacks laying down, so the design of that sub would work for me. Are these subs available anywhere or are they limited production?

I'm curious whether JL Audio will make a subwoofer for non-Kicker-equipped 300s. @$695 for the option, I would think you could do better aftermarket. However, a decent system would have a seperate AMP, which would take up more space than the Kicker unit w/a built-in amp.

actually loook on ebay they make the fiberglass enclosere that fits in the in the same space as the kicker sub and you can put any aftermarket sub in it you want. You could also mount the amp on the other side in the same position or even on the top of the trunk area. Point is, if you get creative you can still use all of your trunk space

My thanks for the heads-up on a custom-made sub enclosure that will still allow the seats to fold down as well as full access to the spare tire and battery. (looking at that price, I assume that they sure are proud of that enclosure;-)

Does anyone have the link for the ebay enclosure? I was planning on producing a few styles of enclosures for the 300C since I do fiberglass audio as a side job. I thought I would be the only one who was selling them on ebay since I couldn't find any on there. Doesn't matter though, I'm still going to make them...lol

I haven't purchased my SRT8 yet so if anyone lives around Sacramento and wants a FREE enclosure. Hit me up...I need to make a template for this thing but it's impossible with out a car to measure and build off of...

Is there any way to make two enclosures like one for the left side and the other for the right side so you can put two subs? Right now I have 2 12" Kickers in a regular box but I'd rather do a minor custom job... problem is down here ppl don't know what they're doing.

Yeah that is definitely possible. Like I said once I get my 300C or once I find someone that has one that I can use to make some templates I will be coming up with several designs for this car. So I will have enclosures that are really simple all the way up to full custom show stoppers! I like the idea of the center console in the rear seat as well. something that fits tight to the surface so that you don't have to install two buckets. This months "ride of the month" has a really nice one! Mad respect to (audiobywes) I'm definitely trying to reach that skill level.

Once I get the templates I'll be able to build anything I want for the car... ))

The Kicker system is alot more than just a sub and amp...it has all Kicker speakers and a very cool amp for the mid and highs as well as the 100 watt amp and Sub enclosure...

So this comes with basically a complete system minus the head unit? That's still kind of high especially since the interior stock speakers are boss already...why would anyone want to change them out to kickers? Are they component speakers or what model are they, do you know?

Sorry for all the questions I just want to make sure that I price out my enclosure accordingly...

....for the add on you get very cool upgrades for all speakers that are poly cone with Titanium dome tweeters, separtate sub amp in addition to the Digital, DSP amp and the sub enclosure and sub...not to mention that it is 3 year 36 warranty
