Why would he drive a $36k Chrysler? EVER? Bond fans would boycott the film. A throaty American V8 bearing the Chrysler emblem? No way. I love my 300c, but its no Bond car. Maybe a new Smoky & the Bandit... :D

Rumor has it it will be the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish once again.

I am SO happy they don't plan on using BMW again. All their new body styles are horrid and many hardcore BMW fans generally agree. YUUUCK. The M5 makes it worth it, but it still looks horrendous to me.

Actually in some aspects it can: :D

BD9 (Road & Track)

Power: 450 bhp @ 6000rpm
Torque: 420 lb/ft at 5000 rpm
Zero to 60 mph (automatic): 4.9 sec
Zero to 100 mph (automatic): 10.9 sec
Standing 1/4-mile: 13.2 sec @ 110 mph
Top speed: 186mph/300kmh
700ft Slalom speed 65.5mph
Braking from 60mph 133ft
EPA city driving: 11 mpg
EPA highway driving: 19 mpg

SRT8 (Car&Driver)

Power: 425 bhp @ 6200 rpm
Torque: 420 lb-ft @ 4800 rpm
Zero to 60 mph: 5.0 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 12.8 sec
Standing 1/4-mile: 13.4 sec @ 105 mph
Top speed (governor limited): 155 mph
600ft Slalom speed 67.3 mph
Braking from 60mph 113ft
EPA city driving: 14 mpg
EPA highway driving: 19 mpg

Shows how "well sorted" the SRT8 is
Don't get me wrong: I like the DB9
SRT8 & Bond: Spook in a sleeper ;)

I so agree, I've been a follower of Bond since his 1st book came out (oops my age is showing), and something about using those BMWs was just wrong.

The Thunderbird's FAB1 should not be ruled out (hey, Dale Earnhardt used to drive a pink car)

Specifications: High Performance Passenger Sedan
Type: Rolls Royce Luxury Sedan
Top Speed: 200+ mph/ 322+ kph (estimated)
Power Plant: Classified
Armament: Front Mounted Heavy Machine Gun, Swivel Mounted Laser Beam, Smoke Maker, Wheel Mounted Tire Slashers (6)
Features: Hydrofoils and Vortex-Aquajet Power Pack for travel on water, Retro Pack Air Brakes, Retractable Tyre Studs, Bulletproof Glass

A notable feature of FAB1 are the four front wheels. These have been incorporated into the design to accommodate the weight of the power unit and the retractable heavy machine gun which is controlled and sighted from the drivers seat and fires through the main grill.

Rear vision for the driver is via a dashboard mounted TV monitor relaying pictures from a concealed boot mounted camera. TV transmitters and receiver, UHF and Neutroni radio ensure that FAB1 is able to contact International Rescue at all times. The communications equipment is all controlled from inside the air conditioned, leather clad luxury of the car.

To enable easy parking and maneuvering, all six wheels rotated. The gull wing and drop-down doors allowed safe and easy access to the vehicle.
