Hi
I had to take out the OEM amp because it was faulty,Is it true that now the amp is out I cannot use the swi-can and swi-jack to control the steering buttons?

I have the swi's in place its just that when I try to program it, the LED flashes instead of steady light, I have programed it to the correct settings and version. Its when I press in the button afterwards to reprogram the buttons that it flashes,it did the same thing even when the amp was installed.(probably because the amp was bad)
