I notice recently Im feeling a slight "click" in the steering column when im driving. Any thoughts?

Is the click coming from the wheel itself or from down in the linkage?

If it's from the column it could be the turn signal cam, or something else loose inside.

Is it audible? Or just felt?

A couple of years ago I had a creaking sound/feel in the steering wheel. The dealer wasn't sure how to fix it and had to wait about 3 weeks for Chrysler to provide a fix. I am not really sure how they fixed it.
On the paperwork the dealer wrote "Removed Lower Dash Panel - Removed kick panel - loosen up center steering support - realigned and tightened - road tested warm and cold"

This is from the Service Manual under Steering Diagnosis

SQUEAK OR RUBBING SOUND
Possible Causes.........................Correction
1. Steering column shaft rubbing. 1. Move or realign item rubbing shaft.
2. Clockspring noisy.................. 2. Remove clockspring. Reinstall wheel.
.................................................If noise is gone, replace clockspring.
3. Steering gear internally noisy... 3. Replace steering gear

If the steering wheel retaining nut is not tensioned correctly, a click will be felt and heard.

Mine makes noises too sometimes

Clock spring had to be replaced on mine.

I just feel it, nothing audible. It is coming from the linkage as you call it.

Hummm, ok, does it do it when you turn left, right, or both directions?

Does it do it when your parked as well as when your driving?

How many "clicks" when you turn the wheel from lock to lock?

It could be a worn rack, loose rack, worn tie rod end, ball joint,.....

Hey Sauceman, i feel it only when im driving. It really is a very slight "click" i feel, almost feels as i am going over a very small divet in the road. I have heard many stories of tie rod problems on this forum, so I began to get concerned when I started experiencing this. I have my inspection coming up Ill mention it then.
