Since my steering pump broke anyways, I've decided to use stronger hoses and add the "Frankencooler" to prevent it from breaking again.

When i asked about the rebuilt steering pump, the seller said it's rated at 1600 PSI, and i can't find any pressure hose of the same ID (none of the local auto shops carry anything larger than 5/8 either) that is anywhere close to that much PSI, not even the Russell/Edelbrock stainless steel braided hoses.

i really don't want to go back to the dealer and pay $100 for a single rubber hose, so can anyone let me know if the pump is really putting out 1600 PSI or if i really need a hose rated above 1600 PSI, and if so, which hose should i get?
