Finally got my grille installed and I have a rear emblem that I want to install on my grille. It appears to have two sided tape on it. Is the two sided tape that comes on the emblem strong enought to keep it on the front grille. I think the clips that were on it would be enough to keep it on the trunk but now that I have removed them I want to know if the tape is enough to keep it on the front???
Thanks,
Mhh

Make sure you clean the surface of where you are attaching the emblem. A little rubbing alchohol or mineral spirits will do fine. Next remove the tape backing from the emblem, and attach the emblem to the grille. Apply pressure for a minute or so and you should be good to go. If it is cool outside, you can use a hair dryer to warm up both surfaces before you put on the emblem. Don't worry, that emblem will be on there to stay. Good Luck, make sure the emblem is where you want it before you stick it on. There is no second chance unless you put on new tape. :silly:

When you get one of these custom grilles, do they require a new emblem or just use the emblem off the factory grille?
You have to purchase one from Chrysler, since the OEM one is actually manufactured into the grille itself. :wink1:

The one you'll require is Mopar Part #4805988AA

Thanks for all the replies. I broke down and did it on Saturday. Not sure what I was so worried about. It looks great. Now I just have to file down the license plate holder so I can put it back on and cover the two holes that it left behind.

Here's a template that I made for others to utilize...along with some photos of the end result. :wink1:
