I bought a stock OEM 300 grill off Ebay for $40.00,waiting for it to arrive.
I am thinking to modify it the following way.Either paint out ,
or remove completely, the vertical bars of the grill (see below picture),
and then add Diamond mesh behind the Horizontal bars.
Would be a different look,huh?
Any input,or thoughts on this ingenius idea??

i personally dont think it would even come closing to comparing to like the heavy mesh grille or some of the others, but everyones got their own thing so if you like it go for it.... but I love my grille the whole car looks completely different and much cleaner (heavy mesh style)... but do yo thang

This is not a definite,but if I did install this grill,it would be
only till I get the T-Rex-chrome edition.

Unless you are a masochist, don't fool with a temp change if you know the T Rex is going to be the end all. Those 4 lower bolts are pita to remove and you run the risk of scratching your paint with each grille removal. Save your energy for the trex, re list the stock grille on ebay for a profit, unless of course you think this will obviate the need for the T rex, just my .02

Nope... 1 is enough for me,thanks anyway.

After some input,and looking at some pictures,I have decided
NOT to have the Polished Stainless Steel in the background.
I may have some Black or DLR painted mesh.
Not real sure..just thinking..hmm..scary

I actually like to get a fully chromed version of the 'OEM' grill, like the one I saw on a 2006 Chrysler 300 convertible roadster prototype awhile back.

I had a similar idea to put mesh behind the the OEM grill painted to match the car. It would be subtle (some would say completely worthless) but would add more depth behind the grill. I like the "heavier" grills because they look more substantial and add "weight" to the front end. I think adding a mesh behind OEM would achieve similar gains, cheaply and be unique from all the aftermarket grills that EVERYONE has.

every post ive found about this is from 2005-6 is this mod outdated nothing new or interesting! i have an aftermarket grill in but have a perfectly good stock grill sitting in a box somewhere not worth selling and i am trying to change my look up color matchin is not an option cus the Bright silver already matches the grill pretty much
