I apologize if this has been asked before, but I have gotten different responses from different people.

Was wondering if the in dash Nav system could be installed in a 300c that didnt originally have it. I saw the aftermarket/chrysler one that mounted on top of the dash, and dont like it much. When I was inquiring about the stock one, a few people told me I couldnt get it installed since the entire car would have to be rewired...

This legit or BS?

Thanks in advance.

nav

I installed the navigation after purchase. It only takes about an hour and not that difficult. You do need a new bezel that is available from you dealer.
Good Luck...

I also installed stock navigation radio after the fact. VERY easy install. Even a novice should be able to do it

I used kcrnmale's Walk through as a guide:

and it took me a half hour... IF that much. But you do have to get a new bezel.
Ok i will bite how much for the upgrade to have the Nav system?

I got my Nav unit on ebay for 900 dollars, then I had to get the bezel from Chrysler for 100. So $1000.00 total... If you go through the dealer or one of our sponsors for the part, the nav radio costs $1600 or so (plus 100 for the bezel).

Does the NAV antenna mount "under" the dash, or do you need to snake it up top?
Do you still have controll of your radio functions from the steering wheel controlls?

Thanks for the info...
i mounted my nav antenna behind the rec unit between the two vents. You will see a metal horizontal bar and i just stuck some double sided tape on the antenna and attached it to that bar. I did it so the wire was facing towards the driver, so far it seems to work perfect. If you had steering wheel controls you will continue to have them. If for some reason they do not work you will have to go to the dealer and have them enable them with starscan tool.
