I will be doing this on mine. A very good friend of mine just converted his prowler to suicide doors, and it took a Miami show by storm.... It was however over a month of work. It's no where near an easy conversion. I hope you have another vehicle to drive if you decide to go through with it.

Come on make the computer magic and produce a photo of this. I wished they had done that from the factory like the 03 Rolls Royce Phatom. For those of you who were going to jump on this and say they couldn't because of safety. A new current model is out there with these from the factory. It would be wild!

It doesn't look like some of those applications that the doors don't open all the way. The 300C's front door are very large to swing that way. The "back edge" is kinda long and straight. The japanese cars with their rounded back edges are definitely a better fit. Even the beamer doesn't look like it has enough room for passenger's to get in and out.

Suiciding the 300's rear doors would be awesome. Humm... ;)

I don’t care for the default music choice, nice site though. I’ll be interested in seeing your first conversion.

catchmeif u can you are right about the scamatics of the 300c doors that is why you can only use these kits and these only the kits are made for extra heavy doors and they swing out then open there many kits out there but only these will work for the 300c not the other it cant handle the weight or angle or space.

Funny, in my opinion most of those doors are garbage, and are a bigger pain in the ass than it's worth.
We are putting a set on a Prowler right now, and it's a bitch.. Even though the kit is supposedly made for the car the hinges are having to be modified. The doors don't align properly in the front, and parts of the car had to be cut...

VERY good idea.
And right, since FoMoCo can't produce ka-ka these days - stealing that idea seems fair.
Suicide doors would fit very well into the overall design of the 300C. It would really enhance its "true elegance" and upright stature: even if one can't always live "the Continental lifestyle".
Here's the "new" suicide door Continental they planned in 03 - shame they couldnt pony up the dough to make it happen. (PS - Who else "sees" the predecessor to the 300 in the last photo?)

They're a great idea, until you and the backseate passengers exit at the same time, parked between cars, and find yourselves trapped by your own custom doors. Oh the horror!

Not to mention I once watched Mannix trap some bad guys inside a Lincoln by handcuffing the door handles.

II Kings, it's a kind of throwback to the coach cars of the 1920's and 1930's. I think it is kind of sensible, however they fell out of favor because of some fear that if the door didn't latch, the wind would blow it open (hence the name "suicide door").

Speaking of throwbacks, Mannix had some cool Chryslers, including a 'Cuda 340 convertible and a Dart GTS convertible (340 and 383 varieties).

And then Mannix says, "That's a nice car fellas, but you're double-parked." (From the Episode, "Nothing Ever Works Twice" - 1967)
