My 300 SRT8 has developed a slight rattle that now realizing is coming from the sun/moon roof. 3,200 miles. Still quiet on smooth highway, but put a few bumps in the road, especially at 50 mph and under, I hear annoying rattle if radio and air conditioner are both off.
Anyone else experience this? What is the chance the dealer can fix this type of annoying little noise?

Me too. If I push up on it there is a little play there. It's not annoying enough to bring it in. I'll wait until the brake fix and include it then.

Had same problem on the pasenger side (6000 miles approx), dealer fixed.
Same problem on driver side (11,500 miles) i will have dealer fix next oil change, took me a while to figure out where the noise came from!

mine was so bad, i had an appointment to take it in.....then all of a sudden, two months ago it stopped and hasn't made a sound since :wave:

up tight, outta sight, and in the groove!

Launching now from idle to six grand in a blink!

Really loosening up with around 4k.

Sunroof Rattle

There are a couple of TSB's for this issue. The first is simple, tighten or reinstall then tighten some screws. The second is a bit more complex. Drop the headliner and remove all screws affixing the sunroof mechanism, apply red loctite, then reinstall.

I hope you guys need the simple one. I am not overly confident about them drpping the headliner then reinstalling perfectly.

You can get the TSB #'s from the list posted on the forum or have the dealer look it up.

Had mine in the last couple of days. The tightening did not do the job. So the dealership replaced the sunroof assembly. Noise/rattling is now gone.

Appreciate everyones responses. Have looked at a TSB on the thread pasted by Resume, thanks. Pushing up on the sunroof makes the rattle stop. Will look at tigtening the screws as Dan pointed out. If no luck, may wait and hope it goes away as Hammers did, this is not too bad and a bit intermittant.
