Sending my tails out to get tinted....I have the three wing nuts off no prob, but the light bulb seems to be connected by two plastic screws that can't be "unscrewed". I don't want to pull something too hard and have it break...it can't be that hard, can it? Any tips to help my learning curve.

Thanks.

I have never tried to remove/change any of the bulbs in 'DESIREE", but after looking at the picture in the owner's manual: first, there does not appear to be any plastic screws that need removal (the instructions do not mention them either), so don't remove any; second, perhaps push in a bit on the socket, then (also according to the owner's manual) twist the socket counter-clockwise (I'd say 45-90 degrees), then pull the socket out of the housing.

Then, as they say, "Installation is the reverse of removal."

Mine was easy!! On my car the three plastic wing nuts were all that needed to be removed...unplugged the connector and it popped right off. I did have to give it a good tug because it seemed to be stuck to the paint. I'm not sure if there was any change from the 2005 to 2006 model. Maybe someone with the same year can chime in with their experience.

Thanks everyone. I got it....there is a red lever that you need to slide...when you slide the red lever the electrical connector slides right off.

If you're unscrewing anything more than the 3 retaining wing nuts you're not doing it right. TheRED slider on top of the plastic electrical connector needs to be "unlocked" by sliding it to the side. Then you can disconnect it. Don't force anything or you will be sorry. It is simple if done correctly. It is expensive if you don't do it right.

The tail light should just pull out in your hands. From there you just have to turn the bulb retainers if you're removing them.

I just went out and checked mine. If don't have to remove those plastic screwst he whole light will come out with wiring and bulbs. Only unplug the main plug by sliding the red tab to the side then pres the black tab on the top of the plug out pull out connector. If your tinting the lights send them the whole light, bulbs, wiring and all.
