Group Buy update:Thanks VIP and Aspen!

I just recieved my VIP headlight covers from the group buy and they look pretty sweet. Fittment seemed slightly better than the pictures of the first runs that I saw on the forum. Both were painted the familiar brilliant black that I have come to know and love. They came bubble wrapped and properly packaged as not to scratch the some what "sensitive" paint. Rocks and road debris would have to be my main concern regarding the painted finish. I cleaned the lights then used the included 3/M type velcro and tried to line up both surfaces (headlight & cover). Be VERY carefull when sliding the cover behind the body pannel so you don't scratch it! Angle the cover toward you and insert the outer edge first. The velcro seemed to work ok, but some double sided tape might be in order (as per directions). There are however a couple small seams between the cover and light that are slightly noticeable with the lights ON, but c'mon they are COVERS! Overall, I'm really glad that I made this my first group buy through this wonderfull forum. Install was incredibly easy, and it gives my front end a totally different look. Thanks to Victor @ V.I.P. and Aspen for offering this GB to all of the members.

update: I'm allready getting compliments on this noticeable mod. The consensus is that this gives a very "euro" look to the front end

More pictures of my baby comming soon!

Take some black vinyl tape and run it around the perimeter of the lights (prior to installing them), it will keep the light from escaping out the sides of the cover. Glad you are happy, put up some pics when you get a chance.

You are SO right...Hopefully I will be able to take several pictures of the recent upgrades: Engine Cover,Under Hood Stainless Steel Kit ( Inner Fender Covers,Radiator Cover ),Headlight Covers, and other stuff. Didn't realize I had done all that. No wonder I'm always broke.

Received mine today. Thanks aspen!! Great shipping/packaging and the quality of the product is excellent. Definitely met my expectations. However the fit is not as close as I would like.

Of course I am still happy with my purchase

Here is some quick pics of the new headlight covers installed. I will however be going back to add a bit of black viynl on the inside of the cover to hide the seam a bit more. I also suggest playing with the fittment/angle before exposing any double sided tape. :duh:

Almost time for her Sunday wash using Turbomagnt's great detail products!
EDIT: I just reinstalled the covers with double sided tape and some black electric tape on the inside edge to eliminate the seam almost completely.

recent additions

Well, I just added the covers I received from Aspen.... and I also replaced my custom lower mesh grill (i made from gutter material) with nice E&G mesh I got from Wycoff.... The covers I think really complete my look... I just need a sharp detail (that i'll no doubt do today).... Covers fit pretty good... I used black tape & did the around each light...then velco that Aspen enclosed coupled with double sided tape up top.... no real problems...

what do ya think? :grouphug:
