It seems official.

The 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP will have the 6.2 litre Corvette motor.

"Down in Australia where the Pontiac G8 is manufactured, GM offers a high-performance version of the car tuned by Holden’s HSV performance arm complete with a LS2 V8 engine and a generous 411hp. The U.S., meanwhile, is only scheduled to get milder V6 and V8 models with the most powerful version developing just over 360hp. That could be about to change because according to a GM inventory listing program there will be a 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP fitted with the Corvette’s LS3 6.2L V8."

That would raise the Price Point over Pontiac's target consumer and go into Cadillac territroy for the CTS. I don't see it happening as the price would exceed what a consumer would spend for a Pontiac

A lot of cars are going to be coming out that are going to be faster than the SRT8. Its time for mopar to answer back. I doubt that mopar will fall asleep after 75 years of fighting in the HP war.

Id be surprised if the trap more than 102mph. So thats a big NO.
