I sure do wish you guys would make the CDC glass roof for the Dodge Charger and Dodge Magnum. It seems you made the glass roof for the 300 and then forgot about the other 2 same platform vehicles, the Charger and Magnum. I know you would have sold a bunch of the glass roofs to the Charger and Magnum owners as well. I know I would have gotten the glass roof for both my Charger and Magnum.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! SYS300C, I sent you a PM.

Regarding the other models... it all comes down to the business case. These things are NOT cheap to manufacture in any way, shape, or form. We use Guardian Automotive to make the glass for us, which is a Tier 1 OEM supplier. Sure, we could have used some other cheaper suppliers, but the quality may have suffered; something that is unacceptible with a modification of this level. Beyond that, initial tooling costs required to form the glass panel to the same contour as the roof is another costly venture, then crash testing, etc. etc... So, if we can build a business case for the other models of cars (i.e.- if we see that there is enough interest), then we would be willing to invest the money into those parts. But keep in mind, we would have to sell a thousand or so to even reach the break-even point! :)

Ok, I was hesitant to post this shot, but what the heck. We test-fitted the 300 Glassback glass panel in a Mag a few years ago. The result was amazing, no doubt! But, it would require its own glass panel, as would the Charger. Trust me, I think both cars deserve their own glass roof in addition to the 300! I just wish it weren't so darn expensive to tool up!

FB,
Maybe they will read your message and create them for your Magnum and Charger! Why did you call it a gatorback?
I meant glassback not gatorback, my bad.

They can read my messages all day long, they still won't make the glass backs for our cars. I even had forums members send in e-mails to CDC, a while back, to have the glass made for the other 2 forgotten LX platform vehicles the Charger and the Magnum. CDC replied that they would have to sell a 1000 roofs in the Charger and Magnum each to recoup there tooling, investments, etc.

I don't think they have sold 1000 300 roofs so that is why I think they won't make it for the Charger and Magnum.

They test fitted a 300 roof on one of there employees Magnums and it was a close fit but not 100%. The roofs line on the Charger and Magnum is just a bit different and therefore would require new glass and frames to be tooled for production of the Charger and Magnum roofs.

That sucks as I know they would have sold just as many roofs on the Chargers and Magnum as the 300's. I know I would have had the glass roofs in my Charger and Magnum by now if they made them.

We hear you Freebird... I sincerely wish we could accomodate. Truthfully, I think we've only received no more than 15 emails on the subject of the Magnum, and probably fewer regarding the Charger. The Magnum that we attempted came out 'ok'... but definitely not up to our standards. To make it 'right' would require its own glass panel and roof cap...$$$$$!!!!!. However, I might toss a glass panel on our Charger's roof to see what that looks like...

NEW PRICING...

It's really, really hard to generate ONE price nation-wide for the Glassback since we rely on our certified installers/retailers for this product. This is the one product that we make that we don't sell direct to the consumer for home installation.

So with that in mind, installation usually runs between $2500-$3200 installed, depending on region. We've been working our dealer network hard, and can now get your 300 Glassback roof installed for around $2,200!!

As I suggested, it may be a few hundred more or less depending on where you live. Also, painting the stainless cap is possible if you want to be more subtle.

Please PM me if you would like assistance finding your local dealer! Thank you all!
