P0430 Causes
  • Faulty oxygen sensor
  • Worn and internally failing catalytic converter
  • Leak in exhaust system
I suspect the sensor has failed but it could also be a bad cat, a dirty or corroded sensor connection or damage to the wiring.

How many miles on your car?

P0700 - The Transmission Control Module (TCM) and Powertrain Control Module (PCM) lost communication.

It can be a momentary glitch but if you clear the code and it comes back, possible causes are:
  • Shorted or open circuit Transmission Control Module - harness connection
  • Faulty Transmission Control Module (TCM) - failed module
  • If you see a leak near the harness connection, the small o-ring there needs to be replaced along with the TCM
