I want to take this thing off, has anyone tried this before, any pointers?

It has been done. If you do a search for "trunk" you should find the info. I recall seeing pictures of a C and a Mag with the emblem removed and holes filled.

I hate to be the guy who says "use the search feature" but....

You don't have to fill them. I found a couple of plugs that I made fit. Most people don't even think twice when they see the trunk. One person told me, when pressed on his thoughts, said he thought it was factory. Unless your a Chrysler owner, you probably wouldn't know. Cecil...........

ehh not so sure about not noticing, but your right, prolly only car people would notice, but then again, thats who your trying to impress anyway huh?

Where did you get the plugs?

ehhh I really notice the plugs. I am planning on removing mine. I will be having a body shop do it the right way by filling in the holes and painting.

I don't know if you have OSH in your area, but it's a large hardware store and they carry several things. I just found a couple of rubber plugs of various sizes and gave them a try. Someday I plan to fill the plugs and do it the right way, but for now and only about $3. I don't think they look bad. If you don't like the look, then don't do it. I'm happy with them, but not everyone will be. Cecil..........
