Ok to start things off i found a super cheap way to get rid of rattling.. i used instant foam that is used for cealing corners etc.. What i did i took the top cover of the trunk lid and filled all the holes with the instant foam. it expanded all the way thro my lid.. (4 cans) WORKED perfect cost $21 for all 4 cans. ANYWAYS the only thing that makes a small rattle is where the latch few inches below the emblem on the trunk lid.. Any idea how to make that stop.. If i even put my pinky on that area there is no rattling at all!

i think this has been discussed before. but the foam might eventually break down from the bass and start to crumble.
as for the latch/trunk problem. raise the bump stops. and like cool_v told me, add electrical tape to the hook part of the lock

Be careful of that stuff. I put it in my trunk lid and it expanded and warped the lid. I had to dig it out best I could, but what I couldn't get out it is still warped.

If you use the expanding foam be sure to get the minimal kind, otherwise
you could warp your panels. I didn't use expanding foam this time around,
but I got good results in a grand prix I owned previously.

In my C, I just used many, many layers of sound deadening.
