EDIT: Pretty much found the best thread for this (finally was able to do an exact search to find the forum on lxforums)

I've done some digging through the forums, here, lxforums, the internet, etc. I know a few places make turbo kits for the LX platform, but I was curious what are all the options of running a twin-turbo setup on these cars.

List of Options:
  • Remote turbo (not really keen on that idea)
  • Direct mount on longtubes (same as before, but it's better than the remote turbo IMO)
If there's a build/pics of someone routing the exhaust to the front of the motor for a turbo, I'd love to see it.

Here's a picture of a possible build:

I would think the turbos are sucking in hot engine bay air, correct?

For anyone who is following or recently looking at this thread, I decided to go with another solution.

After reading many issues regarding heat from the turbo manifolds themselves, routing pipe from the headers to the front, and other problems, I decided going with long tube headers, with a direct mounted turbo, running a single pipe back for each, and a single pipe forward for each should bring better results. I read 3" pipe may cause an issue, but I also found some work arounds for that as well.

I'll update this thread with my build progress.

Feel free to chime in, provide your 2 cents, etc.
