There is a little red light on the dashboard of the 2005 300C that is nestled between the fuel gauge and the spedometer. The owner's manual shows it on their illustration of the dash, but they don't explain what it is.

I ask because one of the times I started my car it blinked for while as I drove. The car worked fine, but I had no idea what the light meant. It hasn't done that since.

I've attached an illustration of the dash showing the location of the light.

That's your alarm light.

If you use the key fob to lock the car which sets the alarm, you should see the little red light blinking indicating the alarm is on. :ponder:

It also comes on if the car doesn't recognize your key as one that is stored in memory. There have been cases where a faulty SCREEM (the electronics that looks for the key signature) has failed to recognize a valid key which results in a "no start" or flashing. Flashing means a fault occured and it's just a warning. Solid red means you will not be able to start the car.
