I agree with Rouge...that ridiculous photoshop job really reeks of amature bull shite. If you do design for Veilside, exactly what CAD / 3D modeling program(s) do you use for specing out your kits. Have you digitized the 300C's dimesions as yet? And why is that you have poorly enhanced photoshop "stock shot" as opposed to serveral elevations and dynamic renderings of the design thesis??
It amazes me that one could consider themselves a true professional Indsutrial Designer without the use of any of these 'tools'. And the ethics and design process used therein.
I am a qualified architect with a dual degree in Architecture and Computer Art from the Savannah College of Art and Design. One of the most prestigious art/ design schools in the world. In fact 2 Veilside designers are former students. It behooves me as to why you would even promote anything on an internet forum that would speak so lowly of your work. Let alone jeprodize the security of your company's designs. Quite distasteful.
I purchased a kit form Veilside for my Lexus GS430. Awesome and unusual design very 'out of the box' concepct. I wrote them earlier this year regarding the possibility of doing a kit for the 300C - no reply to this date. hmmm
Oh well If you do design for Mr. Hiranao, then im sure he is getting a bargin for your work LOL. If not he really needs to do a staff performance review as soon as possible!
Damn!!!
You know absolutely NOTHING about fabricating an aero kit. It's not done by computer genious, it's done by hand in clay...just like stock manufacturered models, then the clay is turned into a mold then produced..cars themselves; however, then get rendered in a 3D/CAD program such as AutoCAD (old but still the norm) or VersaCAD from this clay rendition(not to be confused with 3D programs like Maya or 3DMax although these are usually used later to add light reflective & physical properties). I'm glad you spent a lot of maney to go to school, but you can't even create something yourself.
It's funny, you speak about Maku like that when in fact you don't even know him. I also love how you try to crush me down with your ill-witted comments and give no reason why any of us should believe a word you're saying other than that you went to school..good for you. Rogue also dogged on someone who is about as close to VeilSide as any of us in the US...and you did so to me with just as much tact...bravo again. Have you ever seen how many drawings and renderings get done till there is even a half solid product? This was a concept, honestly most concepts don't even go as far as this in rendering. A concept shows a basic design element for consideration...it's nothing close to a final product. I even in my original post stated that I did this one fast...so what's your point genious..that you can read my post?
I created this design a LONG time ago, before anyone had considered doing a kit in the first place..the car hadn't even hit the market yet. In light of this there was NO way for me to aquire any of the dimensions in the first place. I don't sit here claiming to be an engineer, to be creative one doesn't require a degree...no degree can make you creative or imaginitive. I don't do 3D rendering or modeling for work. I have friends in design school, they all say I should go, but I already enjoy what I do, art is a life long hobby and part of my work as well. I'm very happy with my concept as are several other companies who saw it..so in light of that..who gives a crap what you and your degree have to say about it...go bother someone who deserves it. My poor work seems to inspire much more people than it "upsets"..so to me I've accomplished far more than you...without a degree. Maybe they had a sixth sense to know not to reply to you, I mean you asked for a kit...I provided an example for inspiration to show what could be, this is how we think outside the box, you can stay in it. Think about that next time you mouth off to someone "inferior". Enjoy your Turkey Day!
