guess we dont need a group buy anymore then
Well, the group buy is beneficial in that it "does" support one of the vendors of this forum. That helps to keep this place up and running. Buying off Ebay does nothing to help www.300cforums.com.

That being said, maybe tybrne will step up to the plate and sweeten their group buy a little so as to be more competitive. I know I will be looking to buy one of these within the next week or so.

Guess we will see....

I was in on the first GB from TByrne - HIGHLY recommend this intake, and it's a good idea to support our forum vendors.

vOLANT

Hey guys, I just bought the Volant intake from a guy named Tony at Socal Motorsports and I can't wait for it to come in. I talked to a lot of people with different rides about what is best. Of course K&N, AEM & Airaid we up there but the majority raved about the Volant. As soon as I get it I'll let everyone know.

Hi Tony. Welcome to the forum. Lot's of great people and info here.

BTW, I am ordering a Volant intake for my 300C as well. I'm going with Thom Byrne, who is a car nut and a supporting vendor. He includes the cost of shipping at his discounted price. Here's the link to his offer:

Yes, remember that E-Bay doesn't help keep the site running and they also don't come in here and help with tech info and provide you with details on how to install this system. The site wouldn't be here without the vendors :)

well i agree with supporting the website... but also agree this is a free forum, about ANYTHING having to do with the 300.... and ebay also have these parts as well, some of the prices might be better, and for some of the people that need that extra few bucks off, there completely entitled to check out ebay... and i was just mentioning the fact that they are now on there...

p.s. although if your still offering that price you were earlier (shipped) can you do that for an individual order? cuz ill buy one right now..

LAIDBACKC, its free for YOU, but many people help pay to keep this site running... like vendors ;) so instead of saving the 5 bux, give it to a vendor who has given much more than 5 bux to help make this site FREE FOR YOU...

Volant Intakes

Hey everyone, First thing....My name is not Tony! I bought my Volant Intake from a guy named Tony at Socal Motorsports. There :p I think everyone should shop around for the best deal, but I also believe that if the company you buy from knows their way around performance parts stay with them. It may very well be worth the extra $$$$. Anyway, I bought this intake for $259.99 which included shipping. I had to, hate to, pay California sales tax but oh well. My point is that if you talk to Socal Motorsports, rather than going through their Ebay page you should be able to talk them into free shipping. I did. Waiting, Waiting Waiting. Should be here anyday.

i reiterate what ive already said... this forum is dedicated to anything having to do with the C.... if theres products on ebay... then ebay falls in the category of this site... and people are ENTITLED to at least have the knowledge, and be able to discuss it...

I know what you mean and if I have time I'll shop for pricing when I'm looking to make a purchase too but that is only if I have time. Supporting vendors pay to be here. That money goes to help keep the site running. If it's not worth it for us to be here we (vendors) will stop advertising. Then the burden comes down to the board owner. He'll have to out of pocket the money for bandwidth, server ect... Most people won't do that so the site would shut down and there would be no more 300Cforums to goto. No sense in us putting out money for nothing. That would be like you going to work everyday and not getting paid. The difference is your putting out your time/energy instead of money. Why should another company get free advertising here when there are vendors that are paying to keep this site running and helping you guys. There is no free ride in life.

You should actually be upset when someone is getting advertising here without helping the site. They are getting sales but none of that money is flowing back to the site to help you. This and other message boards provide people with a place to exchange ideas, talk about mods and pretty much just hang out. Think about how things would be if there were no boards. Life and your 300C would probably be different.

Ok, I think I preached long enough :)

At that price plus CA tax you paid more than if you'd bought from Tbyrne, so I guess I DON'T get your point...

I just ordered mine from Tbyrne and feel good about the pricing, tech advice if needed and supporting my favorite website in the whole wide world! :D

i completely understand where your coming from, and i support the site as well... but i still stand at the same place... everyone on this forum has the right to look at other options as well.... and without being criticized for it... i understand that by me posting an ebay auction (that even isnt mine) competes with you making money.... but then again thats business, its competition... thats the market place... and considering ebay is one of the IF NOT THE biggest market place on the net... we would be stupid to not at least "consider" it.... im all for supporting this website... but if im gonna save a lot of money on a big purchase, buying through ebay, effects my personal budget and might be the only way i can get a certain product... then im gonna do it... if its a few extra bucks and it supports the site then of course im all for it... but i must consider my own budget, as like everyone else on here... and i am forced to look at alternative options, and this being an open discussion forum and a free country it is completely okay for me to share new found deals with my fellow forum members, (without being critized for it) whther it directly competes with you or not.... no offense WHATSOEVER to you or your company or this site... hell im prolly gonna buy the volant intake off of you... cuz of your price... but i make my statement ..

OK, now that this might have been settled...does anyone have any real dyno or test numbers for these things? All I have heard about is the 'great sound' and some seat of the pants assessments.
