My dealer found a car , magsrt8, been sitting at dealorship since July 14, they want 3 k over sticker to go get it, I want to negotiate extended warranty, 7/70 plan or better how much do these plans cost. Or Should I just wait it out

So you're negotiating them throw that in if you get it at $3k over?

That's a $1500 finders fee....hmmm....It might be worth it if you're having a hard time find an MSRT-8 at sticker.

6/70 dealer cost for an 05 300C was around $800 fyi. I'd have them throw it in for $3K over sticker. THey can eat $1000.

Man, not far from me, zip 20634, theres a Mag SRT 8 with no markup at all. Even @ 15 mpg, you save a bunch buying and driving it yourself.

I think I know what dealor your talking about , has 3 coming in just none have the package or color I was waiting for, pm me with more info if you have it. If I wait I can get it at msrp from my dealor but they have no clue when they will get allocation for one. In may it was 6 months but I dont think so.

I believe once the chargers come out (Sept 9) and the Grand cherokee's (Nov) then I can see 300 SRT8's going for MSRP. The SRT lineup is so exicting that demand will always be there.

After checking with a md dealor they have a Red one, again just waiting for a good home, been there 10 days, never test driven.

This goes without saying it just plain sucks when people order them and cannot get one, and multiple dealors have them due to allocation, but they are sitting waiting to be sold. :nutkick: I guess it would stupid to give the ordered cars out first.

If you go by the SRT6, the SRT4 and the SRT10 you will see that people are not bashing down doors to get them. All cars cool off. I am still guessing in the fall for alot more parts of the country. Name one car that if you waited you may never get one? There is a very limited 4 door sport Lux market, and fuel costs aren't going to help either.

It'll be interesting if they'll make a Dodge Caliber SRT-4 since Neons will be gone in 2006.

When gas hits $3.00/gal, 14mpg will have folks flocking to other cars in that price range.

Like the 24mpg Lexus IS350. Not really the same genre as the SRT-8, but as gas prices skyrocket, folks even looking to spend $45-55k on a car will look to save some money on gas.

NEVER EVER pay over MSRP! Dealers make plenty of money at sticker.
Wait it out and order the car.

So the dealer is asking 3 over and you think you can negotiate the 7/70 warranty(or at least half) for thew car. I'd do it if you don't want to wait ( which could be awhile with the 300, Magnum, Charger and Jeep all coming down the line together) Even if you found one for msrp, as VVV90 pointed out the warranty will cost around $1500.00 and you'd either have to travel to go get it and drive it home, or you'd have to pay to ship it to you. Some people on this forum have been waiting for 6-months for ordered cars, so it's really up to you and how bad you want it. i'd go for it!!!!!

Well my dealor wont throw in the warranty, so I found 2 myself within driving distance 1 to 3 hours depending which one, both with kickerand nav and heated seats. All season tires on both I ordered performance tires but that is minor to change my self. I informed them of this and now they are looking to see if one that is in D status, that another guy orderd, and may back out of, try to let me have that one. So now its wait to see if the other guy wants it or just go for a ride.

So lighting a fire under your salesman does seem to make things happen. They must be making a ton at msrp sales. :nutkick:
