I was just woundering if any of you have had this problem....after a night of rain, i opened the driver side door and a bit of water had drained from the door...It looks like water is trapped between the rubber door moldinng at the bottom of the door...has anyone experienced this, is there a fix??? im just worried about rust in the long run...thanks in advance...

Drives me nuts. It's related to the sill - the molded plastic. Wash your car - there will be "puddles" on this sill. Then dry this outer sill, removing every drop of water, close the door, wait a minute and open it again - more water. The rubber seal also holds water.

One niggling annoyence. Don't know if it's been addressed, but it's an issue that has been noted on these forums repeatedly...

My "fix" for the problem because of my concernn for rust risk down the road, was to cut 3 notches (about the size of a quarter cut in half) in the rubber seal right under the drain holes in the door. It still has water collect on the sill, but all drined out of the door after a minute or so with no more water collecting between the door and the seal. Did not cut anywhere near the thicker gasket part of the seal, just the lower flat lip, so no change in wind noise or such that I have noticed. I do wish that the rocker panel sill was angled or rounded just a bit, so it wouldn't hold water.

Same problem i have with mine, except after it rains my door will drain for almost an entire day everytime i open it. Took it to two different dealers and they both say it is normal. Ohh well guess it will stay in the garage when it rains.

Have the same issue. Hey ever notice your 300C decals on the car after heavy rain or washing. Moisture gets inside them (not behind the metal but inside them) and they get a little cloudy until they totally dry out - which they never really do. The dealer of course said its just fading from the sun. It definitely happens after rain or washing. I looked at a few of the cars on the lot and only like one of them had it. Maybe its been sitting there for a while.
