Day 1.
Well after a month it is official, I hate this car and the service dept at my dealer. My saga begins by waiting over 4 months for a 300c with all options except uconnect. The car finally comes the dealer said it was hear and it was beautiful, and oh by the way you have to pick it up in three days or they were selling it! I guess that is my reward for waiting for 4 months. Well I go look at the car and there are scratches on the drivers side rear door, the front door chrome is scratched, the black trim above that looks like someone took a screwdriver to it, the trunk lid is missing paint in a dime sized spot!!! Glad they went over it!!! Well unless I want to order another one all they can do is fix it, bring it back in a few weeks and we will get it fix.
Day 5. This is my first day really driving it the weather has been terrible here in PA. Car seems sluggish, way slower than the one I test drove. Maybe it just needs to be broken in. The self-sealing tires seem to bumpy when cold they need a few miles before the start to smooth out. Hopefully this will go away when it warms up.
Day 10. Front door starting to rattle from all of the bass coming from the front doors, I can feel the subwoofer moving when I touch it, but you can not even hear it. I’ll have them look at it when it goes in.
Day 18. Made the appointment for the dealer to have the paint fixed they need it first thing Monday morning, they are going to give me a 2001 Sebring to drive while it is in for service, that sucks. I think I’ll take the covers off the Saab Convt and drive that instead. Now I am waiting and waiting.
Day 30
Since I hadn’t heard from them I figured since today is Thursday, I would call for an update. Well the car is not finished yet and the body shop needs until next week to finish. NO WAY, this should not be taking so long; they knew all the parts they would need before hand. They told me things take time, so I drive out to the body shop that the dealer subs to. He tells me they told him there was no rush, no rush the damn thing is brand new (600 miles) and there is no rush. And to add insult to injury, they sent it to him a day late because they had to look at my subwoofer and road test the right pull. They said, the subwoofer is moving so, that means everything is OK. What bullcrap, I have an 8 inch sub in the back of my Expedition factory system and I have had a few people ask me to turn it down when they are riding in the back seat. With this piece of crap you couldn't tell it was working unless it was ridding in your lap.
I know now that I never should have purchased a Chrysler, no matter how good on paper they may seem. At the end of the day they are still Chrysler.
