now I am normally not interested in chips and wont be putting one in myself while under warranty but a buddy of mine has a p-tronic chip which can be found at the same name with .co.uk on the end.

the one for the 300C is 750 euros less 15% for buying on line, he put his on a C270 CDi and as well as the power increase that seems quite good, there was a considerable increase in fuel economy apparently, he reckoned he had gone from 32-33 mpg to 40+ mpg.

but are they any good, any downsides (except the price) ? anyone have any experience of this one ?
a thing to consider when the warranty runs out as I have done 7000m already.

regards

That's a lot of money when you can buy one on Ebay from diesel tuning for £200 (CR2 model, submit best offer on asking £290 price), it does the same figures more or less, although the P-Tronic quotes a higher BHP.
