Greetings ALL!!!

I am debating on what color 300 to get. The color that first stood out was of course the silver concept that kept flashing its picture up all over the net when the car was first introduced.

I saw my first 300 in person at Herbert's Town and Country in Shreveport. There were 9 of them on the lot, and all but one was sold, a Magnesium Pearl Coat 2.7 liter base model. The car was very attractive, but the price was disappointing for such a low end car.

Several weeks later I went back and test drove a 300 Limited which was Cool Vanilla. That car was IMMACULATE! The only real thing I dispised about the car was the front cap. I would seriously get the v6 model if the front cap could be upgraded with the Halogen Projector Headlamps.

With that in mind what COLOR? I fell deeply in love with the magnesium pearl coat, but the cool vanilla also looks nice. The only color I would not get of the choices availble would be the brilliant black, or midnight blue. Do not get me wrong both color's look nice, but would be hard to keep clean in my mind, plus would show up any blemish.

What color did you choose and why? Also please attatch a photo of your car to compare.

VERY NICE PHANTOM! I see some resemblances do you?

A loaded limited is almost as much as a base Hemi. I bought my Hemi with a sunroof at the sticker price of $34, 400. The Hemi model comes "loaded" per se in comparison to the V6 model. Unlike many of the owners on this site, I was pushing my affordability in terms of payments but the Hemi is really the way to go!!! A loaded limited will push the price over $32,000. If I could choose a hemi model over a limited with better headlamps-I would any day! You can add options later like a factory NAV radio from e-bay. Another note: You have a hurricane coming your way and you might be able to score a damaged Hemi model from the storm for thousands less and simply have the paint repaired at a competent body shop. Many years back in Cleveland, a Ford dealer was hit by a Tornado which damaged many vehicles and they sold these cars at a super discount. I know this is not the most pleasant of thoughts but it happens. The Hemi engine is what really seals the deal with the 300's IMO.

I have a sliver 300c. Reason for picking a sliver was because it looks good on the 300c and you can't really go wrong with sliver because it looks good on almost any car. If you want something unique and different I guess you can go for the vanilla or the magnesium paint color. I was going go with the Vanilla but changed my mind at the last minute. The magnesium is growing on me and would be my second choice if I didn't go with the sliver just because its something different.

Thanks for the information, actually I am leaning more towards the Magnesium Pearl myself. I want the 300C, but will try and hold off until February, which is when my insurance will drop.

The hurricane looks like it will just miss us, we live in NE Texas area so for now, we are good. Even though we may be clear for the hurricane, I am right in Tornado alley, so when it rains... it pours.

Busby, I have a bone basic magnesium with deep jade/greystone interior. I got nothing but standard features, as I could not afford to spend a whole lot more than 33k on a car. I mulled over the Limited with lots of toys, but price wise, it wasn't so compelling to buy. Toys are nice, but the overall package of ride, speed and exclusivity will never be matched by the L/T models. They are really nice cars, but if you are only looking at a grand or so, go C.

Funny you picked that rolls model.
I had the same opinion posted in this thread.

I own a magnesium C.
I just love the hemi power under the hood.
Some folks say the engine is not loud enough, but I just love the subtle growl of the hemi under full acceleration. Just like a tiger growling.
The hemi is just awesome and worth the extra money if you can afford it.

Color wise my preference is Black, but chose magnesium for a change.
Magnesium is a color that really changes a lot depending on the lighting.
It is subtle color that grows on you as you begin to see all the different flavors. Teal is the best description I can think of that best describes the color.

I am biased, cool V is cool., don't forget satin Jade and magnesium has grown on me and is a great choice, would tend to blend into the pavement without DRLs. I got the Hemi after cancelling my touring order, it is worth the extra money. I kept the options to safety only Protection group which includes the all important window curtain airbags, HID lights and adjustable pedals. $34,660 less a $500 discount and $1K owner loyalty rebate. You need the PG with the window bags, go to www.carsafety.org and check the Camry with and without these bags, the model without allowed the dummy's head to dent the battering ram, same for the Mazda 6 and many others. The C without these will likely have the same results.

OOOOOOOOOOOH SATIN JADE is very nice!!! What color is this? I saw it when the car was first introduced. Is this the satin jade just at a different angle? Or sort of a pumice color?

Just goes to show you Joey... all great minds think alike! Look at the Phantom from this angle..

I think this is my favorite color of all, MB Desert silver, Taupe, Champagne etc. that I have seen in Euro print, not available for us. Would'nt a deep tan interior be nice with this and many other colors. This may be silver or satin jade also, I don't see the euro side marker so probably not the euro metallic taupe.

Concept color or not, it is still very nice. Chrysler needs to bring this color to the US! This color would definitely be the color of choice! If not... I still think the magnesium pearl...

Silver and Magnesium are really nice

For me, I narrowed it down to either Magnesium or Silver. I ended up with the silver as they already had a Silver "C" on the lot loaded. I didn't feel like waiting months to order a magnesium even though it was my first choice. That being said Silver is beautiful and you won't be disappointed if you go with it. It really sparkles in the sun and the chrome compliments it well. I think the Silver will also be easier to keep clean but damn that magnesium is sharp(it also changes color based on light). Either way you'll enjoy the car. As far as model type goes, the Hemi was the only way to go for me. But if you go with the Hemi, be prepared to pay at the pumps if you do lots of city driving. In the city I am averaging about 14 mpg. Highway I am up over 23 mpg. Just something to keep in mind if gas prices concern you. Of course the trade off is the huge smile on your face once you put the pedal to the floor :D I agree also with the low growl that is given when the pedal is pushed. Sounds aggressive when it needs to and is quiet waiting to be woken up when it has to be

We all really know that brilliant black is THE COLOR! The cool vanilla is beautiful and the mag is sharp but nothing can compare to the bb with the chrome accents that the C has. Add the Bentley grill, chrome pillars, and some 20% tint and you have one untouchable car! Let me just say this though, the 300c is the only car that I have ever seen where ALL of the colors are nice! I almost went with the blue but silver, vanilla, and yes even the deep lava would havebeen fine. I just wish there would have been more interior choices for us! In closing get the HEMI and everything else will take care of itself! :)

Originally ordered Black. After 12 weeks in BX got tired of waiting and bought Magnesium. Black and White are flashier and look great but I must say the Magnesium hides being dirty very well. Since my wife is the primary driver and I am the primary cleaner I must say I am glad she got Magnesium instead of Black. (Nothing looks better than a freshly polished Brilliant Black 300C to me).

Brilliant Black ... of course :)

The 300C is such a beautiful design that you will want to keep it clean, no matter what colour you choose. Once you have a good protective base on, Black is not that bad to keep clean.

I love the jade, but can't stomach the thought of the light-colored carpet. I don't want to obsess about keeping it clean. As an old friend in the carpet business told me, the only way to hide dirt is to buy carpet the color of dirt. Nothing else. I like the gray interior, but don't think it would look good with the jade. Does anyone have that combo? Does Chrysler even offer it?
