Oy Vey! OK, so one final time - which one is the CORRECT one? I dont really care if 114.3 or 115 fit - I want to know which ones Chrysler put on there - most of the time you cant go wrong with what the designers put on there... Also what is a good offset? I am looking at something like a +25 - will that stick out or rub?

The 300 is 5x115. Which is limited so many have found that 5x114.3 works for them. Go to Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels or Home - Discount Tire Direct and buy the correct stuff in 5x115.

I agree 100%. I'll never get 5x114.3 rims and I'll never get a 5x115 rim that requires a spacer due to wrong offset. They have many wheels that fit our cars (300C) that have the right bolt pattern and offset. Does 5x114.3 and offsets larger than 22mm work.............sure and it's been proven a few times here, but what are you compromising in safety? You youngsters that don't have too much to worry about don't have that insecurity that I (45yrs young) have. I can't take that very small chance that something COULD go wrong when I have my family in my car driving. There's too many other thing that I need to worry about (like other drivers) than worry about if my wheels will stay on my car. Just an old man's opinion.

Why don't you put them on your own car? Why do that to one you love?
I want my wife to be safe and there is no way I'm going to put her life on the line by fitting wheels that are not designed for that particular car, are dangerous and illegal in the rest of the civilised world.
This might explain how people like cajun300 at 45 and an old phart like me at 57 get to be 'old'.
Kev, stick with the 5 x 115 (correct fitment and legal) and you and your family will be better off. It seems that too many people are far better qualified than the engineers who design these cars and don't care for the welfare of their families, let alone other road users. I had been in the tyre and wheel game for over 18 years and I saw a lot of shattered lives and cars because of people doing silly things with there wheel fitments, using spacers and odd off-sets and believing they knew better than the experts.
Why is that our women seem to end up with the 'bomb' as a shopping cart and for running the kids around? Talk about third world conditions for some women.

I have worked in the wheel industry before and have seen thousands of sets of 5x114's go out as the LX platform hit and a couple years into it most wheel companies now either 5115 or offer a dual drilled 5x120/5x115 in a low offset as the bolt pattern is a viable fitment that produces #'s. My opinion is if you must purchase a 5x114 fitment that was not intended for the car, spend the couple of extra bucks to have them inserted by a qualified wheel machine shop and make sure you use the rings (glass or billet - doesn't matter, just use anti seize on your hub!). I would post links but newbies don't have that luxury...

Just my 2 cents...

patterns

guys when someone is shopping for rims and the seller tells you the rims r 5 lugs univeral...i'm assuming that would also not be a good fit on the 300 chrysler because it needs to be exactkly 5x115mm...Correct?

Correct. 5x115. There are many different 5 lug specs that wouldn't work.

would u happen to know which ones would work and which ones wouldn't....that way i wont purchase the wrong ones....
Did you even read this thread??? The proper bolt pattern is listed like 50 times.

The bolt pattern is 5x115, you cannot put on 5x112 because that's NOT the correct bolt pattern, a 5x112 won't even fit on your car. You even made a thread already asking about this bolt pattern and were given the correct answer.
