1. How long should you wait for a busted shock to come in? It's been over a week and service manager says no to a loaner. Been making noise forever. At least it can't be blamed on the exhaust anymore.
2. How many times should you have to ask for the speaker grills to be fixed, so they don't Buzz and rattle? Or is it the Nav. system, sunroof, rear deck or.....
3. How many times should you ask to repair a leaking sunroof. Well Mr. Me, your roof isn't warped right now, so we think it's fixed.
4. Do you think that replacing the drip rail on the roof 5 times is enough?
5. How many times should you have to adjust the toe on a front end alignment? 5 times in three weeks about average?
6. How many times should you have to go back to your car and turn off the headlights, when they are on automatic( in one month)? 3 or 4 times about average.
7. Does the routine swish of the wipers, just make you smile, now?
8. The uneven metalic, in the paint, doesn't hurt anything, so why complain?
9. The Engine doesn't run rough and shut off at idle, just make sure preminum gas is in it.
10. Don't worry, those rear well liners and rear bumpers, are supposed to shake and rattle like that.
11. Grease on your headliner and carpet? How did that get there?
12. What right pull?
13. What wind noise? Sounds normal to me.
14. Body flex? You did race didn't you Mr. Me. Maybe it's your driving style.
15. Mr. Me, I don't know what all the fuss is about. All 300 dashes are warped and bubbled. When the factory changes venders maybe they will let us change yours.
16. You mean you can't fix the problem of the engine nearly stalling, if I take off real hard, because no one should drive that way. You can't expect our service personel to risk driving that way, to test it.
17. We drove it a short distance to QC the car. Came back 45 miles later. The toe was knocked out front and rear.
18. We looked and there is no TSB on that, yet. But they are working on one.
19. No, for the last time, you can't have the 3.61 upgrade.

I'll resist the urge to keep going. I could do a whole lot more for you.
Anyone else have some of their favorites to share? As They laugh and call me "ET", in the service lane. "He's BACK". My list of problems isn't funny anymore. My old Chevy truck never made it back to service, even one time, with a 70,000 mile extended on it.

I bought a late Aug. production. My wife was a chrysler salesperson for over 3 years, so I'm fully aware of the pressure put on those good people, to screw you over. Let me count the ways. Not only are they out to get you, but their sales and service people also. Chrysler also puts pressure on the dealer to get you, or somebody. If I were going to buy a SRT, I think I would hold back until after they have to upgrade those weak transmissions, in a few months. I hear that there is already a date being released and it will be about June. As I understand it most people don't know enough to complain. When they have been had. Well at least I know I've been had, and am squeeling about it. Have you checked to see what the repair policy is going to be on the srt. Well you'll find out soon, so come on back with a quick update. There's one born every second. I can hear someone calling NEXT. I known he's not talking to me. I got 5 other cars, so I might be able to find something to drive. Next, Black SRT calling SRT. Hey Joe that's you Babe. Hurry, that's one of the first. GoodLuck, Dixie

Sounds like someone's a serious TROUBLEMAKER. Hah.. just kiddin - but you know what they say.. Some personality types just can't ever be pleased. It's hard to tell if your expectations are realistic. I disgress. Hopefully you weren't dumb enough to get one of the early 300's/300c's to roll off the assembly line (as in, one manufactured within the first 6 months after vehicle #1)... If I'm considering a whole new model of car with no track record then I always wait at least 6-12 months before buying.. I wouldn't even touch a 300C until December, and that's exactly when my 300C was built, problem-free, incorporating all the fixes and manufacturing error corrections of the vehicles built up until then. As time goes on service departments relay problems back to the factory and they get silently fixed for subsequent builds.

My advice would be, assuming you foolishly early-adopted a 300, would be to dump your 300 ASAP before the premium pricetag bubble bursts .. then wait a bit and buy one built within the last 2 months. Voila - problems gone.

Either that, or dump the lemon and get yourself a Toyota because its consistent build quality will leave little if anything to nitpick about.

Give the factory workers and the service people a break. They're good people that aren't "out to get you" nor are they sitting there plotting how to "screw you over".

-Joe300C
The first 900 or so members of this forum were the "dumb ones foolish enough to purchase the early 300's to roll off the assembly line" while you were brilliant enough to wait it out, only to then purchase an AWD that you ended up selling 3 weeks later because you couldn't stand it. Now you're in line for an SRT-8 "one of the first of those to roll off the line"... Yeah, you have sound judgement worthy of giving "advice".

What is your grit rating joe, about a 36? I don't think you could be any more abrasive if you were fingernails on a chalkboard! This forum is all about sharing opinions and I might even be interested in yours if you could communicate it in a non-arrogant, egotistical, sarcastic, overbearing, insulting, judgemental, offensive and hypocritical manner... and that just describes the 5 or 6 posts you made yesterday alone!

TROUBLEMAKER? hah... just kiddin - some personality types can't ever be pleasant...

Sorry for hijacking your thread Dixie... /rant

Be Happy

Thanks HEMEE, You said what I was feeling, just couldn't get it out.

Just returned from a meeting with the Regional Manager. He said that they would take care of my problems. I ask if they would start by writing up the problems that I reported and their corrective action. He refused to write up all the problems, but he said he would take care of them, and he even had the power to extend the Warranty,,, if needed.

One of the first things he told me is, what I had been writing on this site. I don't know how many moles they may have planted here, to disrupt anyone that tries to make complaints. Hopefully they are just reading and not writing.

KEEP having FUN, Dixie

Hi Dixie. No one should have a list of problems like yours.

You bet they read this site, as do thousands of other guests do every week. I doubt if they would put a mole in here. Nor would they officially join. Can you imagine how that would work?!

Chrysler, from the CEO down, know they have to improve their service at the dealer level. You obviously have an incompetent dealer when it comes to service. If you bring in a problem and they can't or don't know how to fix it, they can't process the warranty claim and get paid by Chrysler. And if they don't diagnose and fix it the first time, they can't keep submitting a claim for the same thing. This becomes a vicious circle with the customer getting the short end.

A good shop diagnoses quickly and correctly. They make a profit on their claims and the customer is happy. If there is a comeback, they will stand behind their work and fix it for you.

I'm glad to hear you are dealing with the regional rep. that's half the battle. the other half is to get some direction to a service department that can fix your car. Your regional rep knows who the good ones are.

Good luck.

Gshug, nothin' wrong with posting up the name of a bad service dealer.

And if you've found a good service dealer, post it up as well. This really helps others who are thinking of buying or are looking for better service.

If you are able to switch to another dealer, do it.

I live in Fremont CA and gave up on trying to get my car serviced by the local Fremont dealer, which is about 4 miles from my house.
I never could get a live person in Service to talk to or make an appointment. I had to leave my name and number on an answering machine. Two times I never got a call back, and two other times I got a call back a few days later. When I tried to get an appointment for a simple oil change they couldn't fit me in for at least 2 weeks.
Then when I finally talked to a service advisor on the phone, he said he never heard of the right-pull problem. He then went on to tell me he would charge me a alignment fee to look at the car. Geesh.

I gave up on this dealer and called another dealer about 15 miles from home - Stoneridge Motors, in Dublin CA. They are also rated 5 stars. The service has been outstanding and I couldn't be happier. I am lucky to have more than one dealer to choose from, and even luckier to find one that has an outstanding service department and shop foreman.
So if you have choices, try another dealer.
