The wheels I got were 5 X 114.3. They can't get them balanced. What wheels are out there that are the correct size. I need 5 X 115. I'm looking for something in black. Cecil..........

HUH! "They can't get them balanced" - OK, you may have the wrong spec'd rims, but getting them balanced on the machine would have nothing to do with the car with it unless they are bent. Tire Rack list only one wheel for SRT8 in 5x115 - 20x9 et15.

If you can't find any "off the shelf" rims you can consider custom made forged.

Wheel shop called and told me that they will have to order a hubcentric ring for each wheel. They should work after the rings are put on, so they say. If not, I'm going to tell them to take them back and I'll try one made for the car.

Did you just buy these rims? Hub Centric rings should have been on the rims from the start.

i've ordered new rims for our mag srt8. 8.5x20 front and 10x20 rear.

i hope the 255/45/20 F1 tire will fit on the 10" rim. The published spec says max rim width for that tire of 9.5", but i called goodyear tech support and the guy said if it will fit over the rim (during installation) it would be fine. He said the most people put too big a tire on a narrow rim which is more dangerous.

Problem fixed. The hub centric rings fixed the problem. No more shimmy.

Cecil,

I'm glad to hear that your wheel problem is now 'fixed' and that your dilemma is now finally over. :fing02:
