I like new and innovative things, but that grill takes away the classy aspect of the 300. It doesn't flow, maybe for a show car or something. But if your goal is to get noticed then there you have it.

In my eyes they don't match a bit. Wheels are round, grill is a trapezoid, so any pattern you put in there is gonna be scrunched and mashed and just mishapen. What looks good in a circle will have a very hard time looking good in a trapezoid. I realize people are trying to be creative, but not all creativity is good. I'll say it, and I won't take offence if someone says something negative about what I do to my ride: that's ugly! No flow, no good lines, it's distracting and screams "LOOK AT ME, NOT THE CAR!!!!"

Spunky = the perfect personality to carry off such a daring and unconventional look.
You understand this look is not for everyone, yet you were bold enough to go for it... Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ;)

They say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.....damn that!!! Not my style at all.
I'm with real on this one.. there's good style and there's bad style. If you like bad style, cool, but it's still bad style. Of course beauty is personal, but there are universal beauties that are indisputable. I won't let bad style pass w/o saying it's bad. I don't think you're a bad person for liking it. I'm sure you're a swell guy.

Nobody told me we were taking sides, guess I'm not gonna get picked
Bad style or good style is a matter of perception, not fact.
His car so he is the beholder, that's all I'm sayin'... peace :D

There are always sides, and we're always taking them. You're taking the side of "to each their own" which is fine, and I'm on that side a lot, I'm a mellow guy and I know I'm looking like I'm fired up, but I'm not really.

Actually there are studies which point to beauty being based on symmetry, particularly in faces, but also in nature. While the grills in the pictures are in fact symmentrical themselves, they don't work w/ the lines of the car to create an overall idea of a whole.

But he put it up here for us to see and the way I see it, give out opinions. From his response he seems quite comfortable with his decision (or indecisiveness since he changes wheels like underwear). I took a beating when i posted photochops of wheels I wanted, but I didn't have my feelings hurt. I'm not gonna be a **** about a guy's/gal's decisions, but I'm gonna tell you if I don't like it. You don't have to change your car for me, but don't expect everyone to love every stupid idea you have about personalizing your car. You know you've gone down the road and just shook your head at some of the body kits people put on their ricers. We've all looked at bone stock production vehicles (ahem, Aztec) and thought, "they're gonna go bankrupt."

I just read what I wrote and realized that I'm talking about you like you're not here, SPNKY. Dude, I don't know you, and I'm not trying to talk s*#t about you. I have nothing but respect for people who put themselves out there to be judged. I just got a hair up my butt about the whole passive aggressive "it's okay if you like it," junk. So keep changing those rims and grills to make yourself happy! Same to everyone else out there, have some fun, by all means.

And on top of that, thanks for giving me something to post about, 'cause now I'm a SENIOR MEMBER!!! Whoohoo!
