Looking to do a winter setup. I see that we have options at tire rack, but prefer the 18" OEM RT wheels.
I did ask the dealer, but they do not have a clue.
TIA

Because smaller typically means narrower, and in the snow you want narrow. Snowshoes keep you on top because they are wide. With cars though you don't want to be on top of the snow, you want to dig down in it, so narrow is better.

Absolutely correct !

And, there is like 1 option for a 20" tire anyways .. and they would have to be a 255 even for the front .....

I would much rather get an 18" with a 235 - 245 size dedicated winter tire .... the all seasons aren't going to do crap ....

(I just drove on a wet road when it was 50 degrees out, it really sucks, the traction control takes way to long to kick in)

Nope, the beast will not sit during winter.....

300CSRT: I have never let a car wilt away during the cold months. All of my cars are meant to be driven all year, plus there are no beaters that will equal the SRT8. I have never babied any of my babies :)
TriShield: Yup, I think they will clear the brembos. I am wondering if the AWD RT rims may fit better (I was told that they have a different offset than the RT wheels.) According to Tirerack, the 18" ASA winters wheels for the SRT8 will fit the RT, so I had hoped that someone had attempted to fit the oem wheel to the front of a SRT8.
Happy weekend :friday:
