I'm looking to tint my four doors and rear window. I've never had a tinted windows on a vehicle. Any advice from anyone on anything I should be considering other than tint level? Most places that offer tinting service are a little scary when I walk in, but maybe that's the norm. Thanks.

This is PERFECT timing for this thread. I was just going to post a similar one, so I will just add in here.

First, Do we tint the sunroof as well?? Those of you who have tinted your cars, did you tint your sunroof??

Also, what is a "reasonable" price to expect to pay for a complete tint job, (including sunroof if necessary) using a good quality tint at about 30%?

This is my first tint on a vehicle as well, so as flipmode requested, ANY tips or suggestions would be much appreciated?

Thanks!!

Here's a link to my pictures the day I picked mine up. The tint (in my opinion) looks excellent. At first I thought they had tinted my sunroof, but it was not done. It has a tint to it already.

Flip,

I just got my done on tuesday and it was $220 but then I had a 10% off coupon. So I payed $198 for all 4 side windows and the back. What color 300 do you have? I have a brillant black so I went 5% all the way around.

15% all the way around, nothing on the sunroof "it has factory smoked glass". Paid $100 plus a $20 tip. My tinter took the time to pull the back deck out to tint over where the third brake light is as well instead of cutting around it.

Sweet ride ktrends!

So which is "preferrable"..... to go around the brake light or go over it? Won't going over the brake light make it less effective AND cause issues with the law?

The perferrable way to do it IMO is to cover the third brake light, it is still VERY bright through the tint becuase the light is so close to the window. The tint as very little if any effect on it. It just looks a lot cleaner with it covered. I will snap some pics with the brake lights on "as soon as I get it back from the dealer" damn power pedals are broke.

I guess the cops dont care to much about it down here.

Can you see them in return? I wish you, your passengers, and, especially, innocent people along your travels much luck. May the gods be with you.

I received two quotes....one for $250 and one for $195. Going to go with the $195 not because it's cheaper (though that helps) but because I had a better feeling about this guy.....seemed more legit and like he knew exactly was he was doing when we walked around my ride. I have the black ride with chrome pillars.....I'm gonna stay legal and stick with a 35% tint (legal in Indiana is 35%). Thanks to all posters.

I paid something just over $200 I believe. The lobby at "The Tint Pro's" has a sign that reads: "We fix $99 tint jobs". I thought it was pretty funny.
