This weekend while having a great time at the midwest cruise Eric and I noticed a big differance in the wiring and coils. I attached some pics ask for by Eric to see if this is possable on a 2005. Oh and I am glad I have this clean looking one. That 2005 looks a mess.

Looks like the 06's don't have any plug wires! Here's my 05 with all those messy wires. :yuck:
BTW,are the valve covers black?

yes they are black. I want those nice crome ones but dred the work to get old ones off.

And thanks Damon i was in shock when i saw that clean manifold. I want that on mine. even thou its coverd by the painted cover.

I wonder if i can move mine around.

Looks like the 2006 coils are bigger and cover both spark plugs... The 2005 system fires each coil twice to run the plug on the other side of the coil, they take turns firing each others plugs if that makes sense..

no I ment this cover here Arnold http://www.wyckoff-mopar-parts.com/5hechvaco.html I think that this change was do to the SRT8. they wanted to keep the cover clean I guess.

That made me look at something. My bolt pattern for the coils does not match the ones on these covers. So beware unless you have an older version (2005) or if they come out with one to fit 2006.

Here's a neat mod on a '55 Dodge. The coils are mounted on the fenders.
