Grill Light Bar
This is the Night Rider Bar that I purchased from AAC. I attached it to the cooling fins in front of the radiator. Attached to the bar is the control box with a 4ft ribbon cable/wire and then just a hot and ground wire. The bar is 100% controlled by the remote that comes with the bar.
· Removed the front fascia. I’ve removed the fascia 4-5 time now and it’s pretty easy takes about 10 min or 20-30 min if it’s your first time. There is a lot of data on the forum regarding the fascia removal, search halo’s, fascia
· Used double sided automotive tape to mount it to the cooling fins.
· Further secured it using picture frame wire between the fins
· Attached the control box to the inside of the fascia with double sided tape where I didn’t think it would get wet, although I believe it is water proof. (the cable is not long enough to run it into the engine bay)
· Added 4 or 5 feet of wire to the hot and ground wire
· Ran the hot and ground wire through the fascia and through the passenger fender and into the engine bay.
· Add an eye ring to the hot and ground wire.
· Attached the hot to the auxiliary positive (+ with the red cap located next to the fuse box)
· Used a wire brush to remove paint from the wheel well and screwed in the ground
· Replace the front fascia
· Done
Remote turns bar on and off, changes the color (red, green, blue, yellow, purple, teal, white), changes the speed, and changes between about 20 patterns
