having similiar issues

have taking my car to the service center. could duplicate problem. but the dealer did nothing. getting shoves when i am come to a stop. if you found out exactly what the issue was. could you share it with me. not sure about this site and replys, but if you could email me some info that you found out. dwhogan@charter.net thanks alot

When I arrived at the Dealership the Service Advisor told me he was mistaken when he said nothing was done to the car. After reviewing the service order he saw that the Technician had reprogrammed the Powertrain and Transmission Control Modules per TSB 18-027-14 and 21-004-15.

We went for a test drive and the 2-3 shift was harsh as ever. We drove several miles repeating the process. As always, the transmission smoothed out once warmed up.

He kept the car and had the Technician drive it again late that day after it had completely cooled down. The Tech said the transmission was operating normally. The Advisor told him to take the car out again with him along in the morning so he could show what my concern was.

After their drive the Tech said the harsh shift was not unusual for the car. When he was asked why it hasn't done this before he answered "Sometimes it takes a while to break in."

The service order reads: No problem found. Working as designed.
::frown::

I smell a lemon.
Hey..did you ever manage to have those shifts smoothed out?...I just purchased a 2014 300s and when just started up the shifts are somewhat jerky and hesitant ..when warmed up it is smooth...Please let me know..Thanks

yes it is
Its gonna get worse, and i got the same issue, u need to go to Dealer ask them to replace the transmission valve body under warranty. I did replace mine , the problem went away for 6 months, and i came back, then i had to do one more time at dealer. They said it is the only way now, so...

Have you ever had the TCM updated with service bulletin 21-004-15?

Hey whats going on with your car..have u been back to the dealer?..I no longer have that 3-2-1 bump when coming to a stop...but still have that hesitant 1-2-3 shift when car is first started up without warming the car..it goes away fairly quickly in less than 2-3 minutes...if i warm the car for 10 min. prior to driving off it shifts fine...

Im not sure it will be fixed forever but its been months , and i have almost no more bumps, here is what i have done
1.use witech or any kindda scantool can clear the adaptive transmission memory cells at above 122F
2. Do the relearn procedure
3. Take the car for at least 2 hours driving in order to make all the clutches count at least 10 before the temperature get down below 122F

Well since i had the TSB done i no longer get the bump....i do still get that high rev shift from 1-2-3 when car is first started and tranny fluid has not warmed up..after driving it for first 5 min. she shifts just fine...do you get that also?

Interesting reading. I just bought a 2022 Infinity QX60 with a newly engineered ZF9 transmission. I’ve experienced the same 123 shifting issues when cold. So far dealership says it’s all normal with no fixes. Quite aggravating for a new car but I am hopeful a fix will come soon. Awesome car once it warms up.
