The BT 'Catch Can' is actually a blow by filter. As in; It doesn't just catch oil from the head it has a filter mesh that catches the vapour as it circulates through the pipes. This then drops into the catch can. So its worth looking for this type of set up.
When you cleaned up did you find a pin hole in the top of the swirl motor? If so, was it full of oil? you may still get a failure in the future.... :(
Any chance of a photo of your new mod? & the ID measurements of the part you used.

No didn't see any holes not really sure where the swirl motor is other the under the turbo somewhere! Lol to be honest I'm sure I will have a failure at some stage as it done 69k and it's was pretty messy, but just doing what I can here's a phot of it now with the blue silicone hose Mobile Photobucket

Just a note to anybody wanting to do this mod I followed links to eBay from a previous thread about doing this and although it is the right peice if it had been slightly longer it would be much easier, had to re fit it just now as took it for a drive was making a fart/sucking noise as it wasnt air tight on the turbo end but got it in better now, just somthing to watch for when doing this

hello mate the T peice i brought was
Blue Silicone T Piece 63mm Bore 25mm Spout Dump Valve and i got it from here
eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

it fits fine But it was hard to fit the air intake into it as there is a silver can that is below it directly in front of the turbo, i got a good seal now but the t piece doesnt sit flush against the the turbo as it has to raise up a bit not sit straight, this probably wont make sense to you until you try and fit it(unless you already have):smashfrea

it wasnt to short in length but when you take of the existing air feed T piece and fit the silcon T piece and push it straight on you cant get the the plastic original air feed hose which you cut the end off to fit into the silicone T piece with out have the T piece at a light angle which means its not flush at the back where it touches the turbo, make sense??

i did ask SOX about his fitting of the piece but didnt get a reply, i just followed another thread on here about fitting it

i used the original black turbo pipe but cut of the end that pitted onto the turbo as it shows being done on another thread, i have to say it has kept A LOT of oil in the system that would have other wise dripped out, im waiting for my catch can to be deliverd then hopefully no oil at all :fing02:
