DAB radio aerials

I've been struggling with the stick on aerial for my Pure Highway over the last year and, to be frank, reception is dreadful.

Has anyone fitted an aerial that (a) works, and (b) doesn't look like a relic from the CB craze of the late 70's?

that integrated box/radio looks like it would hide nicely , being as how it obviously can use our mygig screen for its interface.......can my beesting just be upgraded by merely screwing in one of their masts?

I like the look of that too, and it should hook up to my aftermarket Sony nicely. The only things I'm not sure about are the lack of feedback on it and the basic display (see the picture at the bottom):

As an update, I bought a glass mount aerial from dabonwheels. I've just been tinkering with it and initial results look promising. The cable is routed under the head liner to the front of the car. I'm not too keen on the obvious add-on look of the aerial base stuck to the back window but I'm sure it will grow on me.

The benefit of the Highway is that it is small enough to be hidden away in the sunglasses compartment with nothing visible from the outside. Just need to find a suitable 12v source up there now.

I've got an 3.5 mm aux lead that I'm running down the pillars and across to the centre console. I had to splice two 2m cables together. Not ideal as the plug and cable are visible where it plugs into the aux socket. Still, it's better than the FM transmitter option and a lot cheaper than a lockpick.

Looks good, ÂŁ180 plus fitting at Halfrauds.

I already have the VES ipod adapter on my REJ so it would just be a case of plugging the output from it in to aux2. I guess if you have the standard REJ then you have to use one of the FM connections?

My original ipod adapter only takes my 1g touch (16gb) as F*****G Apple changed the charging pins and made a load of accessories obsolete. At least this DAB module takes the latest iphones, ipods, ipads and also has a USB stick input as well.

I'm seriously thinking about getting one!

Goes in on Monday to be looked at and I guess we'll see from there. If they do diagnose the same issue then I won't take it back.

Thought about putting in a cheeky offer for that 2010 unregistered SRT8 that's been up for sale for a while...................................
