Anyone get a No Signal message for the satellite radio? I get all of the channels listed but no signal. I've called to have them make sure the radio is activated and they saw it is. Worked one day and then just stopped. Everything else is fine.

Sounds like maybe you should check the antenna connections... I lose signal only in tunnels (after an approx. 20 sec buffer runs out), in the garage or under longer stretches of tree canopy on shady lanes as I drive along.

I have a reset procedure I got from Sirius, will have to look it up at work but it was pretty simple. Sometimes it works, Sirius is a PITA to get any information on and I am a dealer tech. Talk to Chrysler and when they cant figutre it out they will tell you to call Sirius, and when you call them they will tell you to call Chrysler. What we can see with the Starscan is if the antenna is "present" and we can run a test from the Sat reciever to the radio to check that connection. We used to be able to check the subscription status in the SDAR with the Starscan, but an update or two ago that feature vanished. I now keep an extran antenna cable and antenna so I can rule those out quickly, and will grab a sat reciever out of a Grand Cherokee or Commander to test that since they come out so easy.

I had a no signal problem about a year ago. I called Sirius with the cordless phone and sat in the car, read the number off of the display as directed over the phone by Sirius. Signal was back in a couple of minutes. AND THEY EXTENDED MY SUBSCRIPTION FOR 12 MONTHS FROM THAT DAY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE! I just reupped for another year.

That happened with my 5.7. Just stopped working one day. I called Sirius and they resent the signal and boom, there it was. Don’t know why it would do that….some kind software corruption.

Mine stopped one day in my truck just like yours did. It said on the display NO SIGNAL. I unhooked the neg bat cable took the radio out unplugged it from the antenna let it sit for 2 mins then I hooked everything back up and its worked perfect ever since.

I've talked to Sirius a few times about this with no luck. One time they had me opening and closing the driver's door twice and then doing something else (maybe touching my nose :) ) before turing the radio on again.

Quick question, how do I get the number out of the radio to give to them. I usually just happen to come across it. The manual and Sirius isn't to helpful with that one.

My satellite quit like yours after the dealership switched out my unit due to disc error. The first time they looked at it they reset the unit. I beleive there is a reset behind the faceplate...but I am not sure.

When mine quit, after I shut my engine off, went into a store, restarted the motor and it started to work.

You might want to pull fuse 11 or the battery cable to see if you can do a hard boot. The good thing is, you normally don't need to keep your car at the dealership for this problem. If you do need to take it in, tell them in advance you need it set up where a tech can look at it while you are there.

Good luck. I know what it's like with no Sirius...it's horrible!!! It's like you have to have it!!

here is my ssn# can you cancel the signal and re-send it...and there you go every thing has been fine since....so i would call them one more time and ask them to cancel and re-send signal...gl

They probably had you try to reset it, close the door key on radio on, key to acc, open door for 30 seconds, close door turn key on, radio on or something like that. I have two different procedures written down at work and sometimes they do work. Many times though you will end up having to get them to reactivate by cancelling and re-sending the signal as others have said.

Which model radio do you have? Should be two buttons to push to get the ESN to display, buit cant recall which. You can probably find it with a forum search here.

Edit, did find this in a search and it does sound correct, done with radio off IIRC. "ESN: Hold the load button and set/rnd button at the same time with the keys in the ACC position and your number comes up on the screen. "

Just tried disconnecting the battery with no luck. Also noted that the "preview channel" (184) also doesn't have any sound. I think that would be working before a subscription is set. On hold with them now.
did you get a answer yet??

Oops, didn't post back :)

No luck with them. I'm calling the dealer today.
Turn the ignition key to the 'accessory' position. Turn the power off on the radio.

Single CD radio - press the 'CD EJECT' and 'TIME' buttons simultaneously. Digits 1 thru 3 will be displayed. Pressing the 'SEEK UP' button will display the next set of digits until all 12 digits are displayed.
Premium radios - Same procedure as single CD, but all 12 digits will be displayed.
Nav radio - Press and hold the 'LOAD' and 'SET/RND' buttons at the same time.

I forgot to mention yesterday that I had no Sirius Radio signal (not the Nav. system) when I started up my car. The readout simply said 'no signal'. I didn't have time to deal with it due to an appointment but was thinking it might have had something to do with my stuck dash warning lights a few days prior. When I returned to my car several hours later, Sirius was back in action with a message that simply said 'Sirius Update'. Glad I didn't waste my time trying to call them!

I dropped the car off at the dealer yesterday. They called at the end of the day and said that they are still working on it but can't find out why it isn't working. The advisor said that they pulled 17 codes out. I wonder if they are checking codes related to my long tubes :) Haven't heard anything from them today.

Originally the dealer replaced my HU because of Nav problems, sirius worked for a good 4 weeks. Now I have the no signal message, took it to the dealer yesterday they replaced the antenna (said it worked). on the way home it went back to no signal. I called sirius and they said my radio ID isnt in there system. This is becoming a PITA!!!! Anyone have any ideas?
