My front windows do not work at all from the the driver side switches. The passenger rear works all the time and the driver rear works intermitently. The passenger front wiondow DOES work from the passenger control switch. I took it to dealer and they wanted $100 just to look at it, with no fix, so
I figured it must just be the driver switch mudule in the arm rest and ordered a new one. Spent $150 bucks for it and when I replaced the old one, it still did the same thing. I also checked wires going from door to car body and they are intact.. Any ideas????

Window Regulator???not sure what that is, but since you ask me if I'm still under warranty, it must be expensive...I have 63k, so I'm sure it's not covered. Thanks for the reply, I'll do my research on the regulator

If you want to PM me your vin I can check out the database and see if you're covered still....

typically a window regulator isnt to expensive, its the part that actually moves the window up and down, the motor and bracket if that makes any sense. usually only like 100 bucks for the part plus maybe 2 hrs labor.

Help....I disconnected the battery for 15 minutes and hooked it back up. Front windows didn't work still. I don't think it's the regulator because the passenger side window works form the passenger side, just not the driver side. I get the same thing with the new switch module and old. there is power to the switches because they all light up...and now, since I disconnected the battery the car won't start and the buttons on the keys don't work to activate the alarm or door locks. i'm so confused

do you have the lambo doors on your car? I have the LSD kit and have had the same problem with my front windows. I thought it was only because i had put the doors on and now was getting the wires pinched or not making a good connection. maybe there is something to this...i will investigate further

does your memory seat work?

I'm betting it doesn't..

your canbus data cables from the door to the interior of the car have gotten damaged or cut.

check the rubber boot between the door and the door jam, look inside for a White with an orange stripe and a plain white cable and verify they are not cut or damaged.

the auto up/auto down feature relies on the canbus network and the driver door module to control the front power windows, if the bus connections get interrupted then none of the switches on the doors will work.

the rear doors are not on the bus because they are normal up/down switches (not auto up/down) so they will continue to function correctly.

MR Incredible; your a Genius!

Front windows didnt work from master switch, passenger mirror didnt work, but drivers side did, memory seat would sometimes work but it quit showing on the instrument cluster when you set the memory 1 or 2. Replaced Drivers door module, everything still the same. then I found your post, took the boot and connector loose at the door and found a broken twisted pair. Soldered a little extra wire in made a twisted pair again, and everything is back to normal. And $100.00 for my mis diagnosis is still a great deal cheaper than the dealer would have fixed it for, if they could have fixed it at all. I just had to register on the forum so i could post this for others who may have the same problem and had to thank you Mr incredible. :You_Rock_

so i took the boot off between the door and the car post and found 11 broken wires! so i soldered extra pieces of wire in and it all works now. it took a long time but its all good now. we'll see if it holds up. thanks for all the input and ideas everyone!! for some reason the drivers window and passanger window go up and down in intervals..it'll go down 2in then i have to push down again. i tried the whole hold up for 5sec thing but it didnt seem to work. does anyone know how to reset them or what i need to do? thanks

If I remember correctly, I've reset mine by doing hold DOWN for ten seconds. If you're moving 2 inches at a time that's really strange, especially in the DOWN direction. Does the window move smoothly at the same speed the entire travel distance or does it slow down a little and the noise change a bit before the window stops?

My 2005 300C does the same interval thing, unfortunately the passenger window worked fine up and down and just the driver did the whole 2" up and down intervals but now the passenger does too??? I haven't had a chance to check but I tried the hold the button up and down thing and it didn't change it any....you guys have any other ideas??? this is making me p-o'd every time i try to put the window down or up

Common problem. Our window glass is very thick & heavy (to reduce cabin noise). If the windows offer too much resistance moving, it detects what it thinks is a foreign object.

Start by lubricating the rubber seals at the bottom edge of the window frame inside and outside with silicone lubricant.

Next, clean the glass with a good glass cleaner and a microfiber towel, inside and out.

Next reset the power up/down cycle by holding the button down for 4 or 5 seconds when you have the window all the way down.

Repeat process, holding the switch up when it is all the way up.

Hope this solves your issue.
