Dave, long time. Welcome home
I dunno, it just doesn't quite look balanced to me. Maybe put it where the SRT8 badge is and put a pair of SRT8 badges on the fenders? Have you de-molded? Have you fit the 6.1 badge on the fender? Maybe a pair of those would look cool up there if you mounted them right.
^^^^I agree with Eric...maybe just leave the SRT-8 badge on the trunk and get one more 6.1 hemi badge so you can put those on the fenders...like I did with SRT-8 badges...
I appreciate the feedback. There is no way I'm going to demould my car. I have 6 kids (and a 7th on the way). My wife parks her Odyssey in the garage next to me and her door has hit my car so many times I've lost count. Amazingly, I have no door dingers after 3.5 years (knock on wood) as the trim has some scuffs from the many knocks. Her 5 year old van looks like an Iraq war casualty, while my car still looks decent, albeit with a few minor scratches the kids have put on it.
I didn't really want to remove the SRT8 badge from the trunk, so I was looking for a way to place the 6.1 badge and come up with a somewhat balanced look. I basically placed it in the same spot where the "AWD" badge would go. I'm not sure why they never put any kind of "Hemi" badge on the SRT8's (I have the "300C" badges on the sides, not the "Hemi C" that most have). I am sort of a minimalist, and didn't want to stick extra stuff all over my car, but wanted to at least get the Hemi on there since it's nowhere else except on the valve covers. I've now noticed that those badges are firmly stuck in place and the only way to move them would be to take them off and use a product like Goo Gone, then purchase another set. I guess I'm just gonna have to live with it the way it is.
By the way Inferno, those powder coated rims are lights out. :fing02:
